What’s the general trend of the Uk’s ageing population?
A
It’s rising. By 1971 it was 34.1 years. By 2013 it was 40.3. By 2037 it’s projected to reach 42.8. Fewer younger people and more older.

A
How older age groups are growing as a proportion of the population and younger are shrinking.

A
Traditional ‘age pyramid’ is disappearing and being replaced by less equal ‘blocks’ representing different age groups.
