Written or electronic documents. What has to be carried on board an army aircraft?
- Logbook
- Flight order if necessary
- Flight manual (or GAF T.O), at least one flight crew checklist
- Technical manual on cargo loading for NH90
Is smoking allowed on board of a bundeswehr aircraft?
No
Can you smoke in the vicinity of an aircraft?
If the movement area is clearly marked other wise at least 25m around an aircraft
Is electric and electronic devices that are not part of the aircraft’s equipment allowed on board the aircraft?
They may be operated on board in compliance with the regulation for “General provisions for flight operations with manned aircraft. Any exception is in the aircrafts FLM
Are passengers allowed to carry firearms, cut and thrust weapons, ammunition or dangerous goods?

Above which pressure altitude is oxygen needed? Can you fly without it?
Above a pressure altitude of 10000ft oxygen is required. Only for mission related reasons operations without oxygen can be allowed between 10000ft and 12000ft for three hours
Where is the minimum aircrew stated?
In the relevant flight manuals or comparable operational document
Who have to comply with the instructions given by the pilot in command?
As a matter of principle, the crew and passengers.
Who has the ultimate authority and when?
The pilot in command during:
- Taxi / air-taxi
- Take-off
- Enroute
- Landing
What do you need to be allowed to be employed as a pilot or permanent crew member?
A permit
For how long can you not fly before you need to demonstrate your ability to carry out this activity under supervision?
If your last flight was more than three months ago
What is the minimum crew required to have?
The relevant type rating
Can you participate in flight services if you are under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances?

12 hours before a flight is scheduled to begin
What do you have to report to your superiors?
His or her condition if he or she does not feel ready for action for physical or other reasons
If an illness require you to take any pharmaceutical product what do you then have to do?
Make it known or get an order from a flight surgeon or the air force aeromedical institute
For how long after a vaccination can you not perform any flight service?
- 24 hours with normal vaccines
- Six days for yellow fewer
- 72 hours if it is a live vaccines (Such as MMR)
Can you donate blood as flying personel?
Only in exceptional cases and then no flight duty for 36 hours after
When can you start flight duty after a decompression chamber?
- 12 hours if under 33000ft pressure altitude
- 24 hours above 33000ft
You have been diving with breathing equipment. When can you attend flight duty again?
24 hours after diving
Can you fly pregnant?
No
Is it stated by law that you have to maintain physical fitness?
Yes
After an Ironman you have had some heavy physical strain. What are you required to do before starting flight duty?
Observed sufficient periods of rest
Is boxing allowed if you attend aviation services?
No
