Moving towards the midline of the body.
What is lateral rotation ?
Rotation away from the midline, towards the back.
What is Medial rotation ?
Rotation towards the midline, towards the chest.
What is Plantarflexion ?
Increasing the angle between the top of the foot and the shin.
What is Dorsiflexion ?
Decreasing the angle between the top of the foot and the shin.

Towards or nearest the trunk or the point of origin of a part.
Define the term Distal …
Away from or farthest from the trunk or the point or origin of a part.
What do the terms Anterior and Posterior mean ?

Medial - To the middle e.g eyes are medial to the ears.
Lateral - To the side e.g eyes are lateral to the nose.
