Ketamine

A

IV barb

  • NMDA antagonist
  • Dissociative anesthesia
  • Analgesic, amnesic

↑ Sympathetic output: ↑ HR, BP, CO
- useful for hypovolemic shock

Side fx:
- Hallucinations, delirium (use benzodiazephines to counteract)
