Where does the APU get its fuel?
Fuel comes from the LEFT (main) Fuel Tank.
To what altitude does the APU provide power and bleed air?
APU supplies electrical power (43,100’) and Bleed Air (to approximately 17,000’).
What happens when you move the APU Start Switch ON?
The FAULT light cycles ON then OFF (as the APU Fuel Valve moves)
The APU door opens
The APU Fuel Valve opens
If you get an APU FAULT light, what happens?
The APU will automatically shut-down.
When the RUN Light flashes twice, what does this mean?
It is testing both APU Circuits.
What does the RUN light ON steady mean?
The APU is at speed and available for electric/air
Does the APU use an AC or DC powered fuel pump?
Both.
Initially it uses a DC powered pump, but when available
It uses an AC pump from the R AC Bus.
Placing the BAT switch OFF, (ON THE GROUND) will it shutdown the APU, not advised, why?
YES to SHUTDOWN on the ground.
Fire Protection is available, but NO DETECTION.
What does turning the BAT Switch off in flight do to the APU?
APU continues to run…

Which AC Power fuel pump is used for the APU?
L FWD FUEL PUMP.
The APU has a cool down cycle, if there was no pneumatic load, how does this affect the cooldown?
No cooldown cycle.
