Q

What is the MOA for Aspirin?

A

Aspirin has antiplatelet, fever-reducing, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving effects. In emergency settings, it is used mainly to prevent blood clots. It works by blocking an enzyme (cyclooxygenase), which reduces the production of prostaglandins (involved in pain and inflammation) and thromboxane (which helps platelets clot).
