How would you help your client turn over on your table discreetly, and avoid getting tangled in sheets?
- Remove or adjust pillows (bring arms close and lift abdomen if you abdomen pillow to remove)
- Hold sheet in place in a tent-like formation and instruct the client by tapping the shoulder furthest away from you to turn towards you slowly and carefully so they don’t roll off the table.
- Once client is rolled over, place sheets/blankets back on top of client and give them back/replace any necessary pillows.
How should your posture be when working on small specific areas?
- Weight is balanced on both feet
- Back straight, bending the knees and hips
How can you accomplish more pressure when working on large areas, and avoid burnout?
- Shift your weight from foot to foot
- When applying pressure and achieving depth it is easier to use your body weight rather than using your muscle strength in your forearms.
