- A closed loop.
- Blood is circulated around the body to all tissues.

Carry oxygenated blood to the organs and tissues.

A
Carry deoxygenated blood to the heart.

What are arterioles?
A
- Branches of arteries.
- Develop into even smaller beds and vessels called capillaries.

What are capillaries?
A
- All tissue gas + nutrient exchange occurs here.
- Blood passes from capillary beds to small venous vessels called venules.
