What is the secondary purpose of a Casualty Report (CASREP) message?

It is to inform mission support product line and logistics managers of technical assistance, parts and repairs required.

What is the primary purpose of a Casualty Report (CASREP) message? 

It is to inform operational and tactical commanders of specific mission degradations and operating limitations.

An equipment malfunction or deficiency that cannot be corrected with 48 hrs & affects: -Unit's ability to perform a primary mission -Unit's ability to perform a secondary mission -A training command's ability to perform it's mission
