uppers
affect nervous system, coke, meth (snorted smoked injected)
uppers symptoms
excitement, increased pulse, rapid speech, dry mouth, dilated pupils, sweating, no sleep
downers
CNS depressants, benzodiazepines, roofies
downers symptoms
sluggishness decreased pulse and respirations
hallucinogens
LSD, PCP, XTC
hallucinogens symptoms
rapid pulse, dilated pupils, flushed face, seeing/hearing things
volatile chems
vapors that are inhaled. rush then CNS depressant
symptoms of volatile chems
dazed, coma, membranes in nose/mouth swollen, numbness in head, changes in heart rhythm
