Chapter 3 And 10 Flashcards
(18 cards)
Accuracy vs. precision
Accuracy- how close a measurement comes to the true vale.
Precision- how close a series of measurements are to each other
Convert and form scientific notations.
Coefficient (1-10)
Followed by 10 raised to a power
Determine the correct # of sig. Figs. In a measurement
All know digits and the last one that is estimated.
Rules Decimal present (Pacific) start on left side
Decimal absent (Atlantic) start on the right side
Use the rules for calculating sig figs
Pacific (left)
Atlantic (right) no decimal
Identify common SI units
Mili- 1000
Kilo- 1000 (more)
Centi- 100
Convert between Celsius and kelvin
K to c = c+237
C to k = k-273
Calculate density
Mass
