What are markers kidney damage?
THE ASS Transplant patient Histological features on biospy Electrolyte abnormalities ACR ratio >3mg/mmol Sediment abnormalities in urine Structural abnormalities on imaging
And/or a persistent reduction in renal function (eGFR less than 60)
What two features are assessed when staging CKD?
eGFR
Albumin:creatinine ratio
What is worse:
CKD stage G1A1
CKD stage G5 A3
CKD stage G5 A3, prognosis worsens as numbers increase
what are causes of CKD?
