  1. Explain the difference between Lockout and Conveyor Securing.
A
  1. Conveyor Securing is a UPS program used by operations people before getting on a conveyor belt to break a jam, reposition a diverter, walk belts at the end of the sort or any time you have to get onto a belt. Lockout is a program that complies with OSHA regulations. It is used by people such as PE mechanics for maintenance purposes such as repairing, cleaning or retrieving a package from a motor housing.
