Dyspnea, chest tightness, dry unproductive cough, wheezing, marked respiratory effort, prolong expiration, nasal flaring, pursed-lip breathing, cyanosis (late development), diminished breath sound (ominous sign of severe airway obstruction and impending respiratory failure), breathlessness.
Severe asthma - use of accessory muscles, dyspnea upon rest, jugular neck vein distention
BRACHIAL ASTHMA
Classic triad - Hemoptysis, chest pain, dyspnea
Other manifestations - pleuritic pain, sharp stabbing chest pain, cough, restless, anxiety, fretful, apprehension, diaphoresis, syncope.
Severe embolism - hypoxemia, hypoxia, pallor, cyanosis, severe dyspnea, diaphoresis, crackles, pleural friction rub
Less common - fever, heart gallop, murmur
PULMONARY EMBOLISM
Severe itching of the affected area, scratch wounds, secondary infection of the wound, lymphadenitis.
