Etiology
Bacterial

Streptococcus Pneumoniae
▪ The most prevalent cause associated with pneumonia, otitis media and sinusitis
▪ Haemophilus Influenzae
▪ More common in children than adults in fact it’s the most dominant cause in pediatrics.
Neisseria Meningitidis
▪ Common in concentrated poorly ventilated areas such as military camps, congested industries with poor working conditions, crowded classroom in poor educational setting where the capacity is double than the current population.
