  • Establish a staging area and assign a company officer to be the Staging Area Manager until replaced by a BC
  • Transmit a preliminary report regarding the location of the ICP and the Staging Area. The dispatcher can assist in identifying a Staging Area
  • Designate a debris examination area, which should be a paved area near the site and be examined to ensure it does not contain any people remains or potential evidence before any debris is moved there
  • Ensure the ICP is located at or in the immediate vicinity of the incident site, in an area outside of the operations site and collapse zone
