Continuous Measurement
Measures every occurrence of the behavior.
Frequency- Count/How many times a response occurs/ clicker/timer/ tally marks
Duration- How long a response lasts/ timer/
Discontinuous Behavior
Measuring a sample of behavior
Partial- If behavior occurs at any point of time during interval
Whole- If behavior occurs during the entirety of the interval
Momentary- If behavior occurs or does not occur within an interval
Preference Assessment
Used to determine which item is most highly preferred by the client. Can be tracked using a timer
Single stimulus assessment- A single item is presented to the client at a time.
Paired stimulus assessment- Two items are presented at a time, and the client is asked to choose one.
Multiple stimulus with replacement- An array of three or more items is presented. The client selects an item, and after the trial, the chosen item is replaced back into the array.
Multiple stimulus without replacement- an array of three or more items is presented, but the chosen item is removed from the array for the next trial.
ABC
Antecedent/ Behavior/ Consequence
Identifying how/ when/ why
Identify why a behavior occurs/ What is the motivator?
DTT
Repeatedly presenting the SD to the client, followed by a consequence or feedback
NET
Natural Environment Training- Used in daily or everyday routines or activities
Teaching a skill or repeating a skill in a natural envrionment
Chaining
Teaching a behavior that has multiple steps
Forward Chaining- The learner is taught and reinforced for successfully completing the first step, and then prompted through the remaining steps. This process continues, adding one more mastered step at a time, until the entire task is learned and can be performed independently.
Repeat and only fade out of that first step
Backward Chaining- Same deal but we will start fade prompting during the last step
Total Tasking- Teaching the learner all the steps and only correcting or prompting if they made a mistake
Shaping
Reinforcing or molding behavior until desired or target behavior is achieved
Discrimination Training
A way to discriminate or differentiate between presented stimuli. Array of 3 objects, choose the one i say
Stimulus Control Transfer
Repeatedly presenting the SD to the client, followed by a consequence or feedback
Fade prompt
Prompting
Providing assistance or cues
Token Sytem
Acts a reinforcer and a way to let the client know how much longer they have before the program ends.
Crisis Emergency
Make it known that you need help/ Go right in and help the client/
Differential Reinforcement
Extinction- Getting rid of a reward for negative behavior
DRO- (Differential Reinforcement Of Other Behaviors- Whenever behavior is not occurring, deliver reinforcement
DRI- (Differential Reinforcement Of Incompatible Behaviors)- Choose a behavior that is incompatible with the target behavior/ does not occur at same time
Reinforce incompatible behavior and reinforce target behavior
DRA- (Differential Reinforcement of Alternative behavior)-
Alternative behavior is reinforced once it occurs
Client Dignity
Protecting the clients privacy
Professional Boundaries
Do not accept gifts from parents above 10 rupees/ do not date client/ do not date client parent
Supervision Requirement
10%
Clinical Direction
Child presents any new behavior/ SIB/ Parent has a complaint/ Don’t understand how to run a program
