What are the concepts ?
Definitions of the family are highly influenced by the different changes in the society, and how the family changes in responding to them.
Many of these changes happen because old or traditional family customs and values are now being replaced by a new or modern thinking and lifestyle.

The religious concept?
Christianity- the family is a divine institution established through a covenant of marriage with biblical laws and principles to guide the reproduction process, the role of parents and children and maintenance of society.
Christianity is the main religion.
The function of this marriage include procreation ( reproduction), caring and nurturing for the young, and managing the earth in according with the laws of the Bible .
The Social Concept?
Social Concept- the family is a social unit where people live under the same roof and share a relationship through blood, marriage or adoption.
The cultural concept-
Cultural Concept- the family consists of two or more people related by blood, marriage or adoption or descent. Strongly bonded by culture, tradition and values of older generations that practice and transmit to younger generations.
The father is the breadwinner, the dominant leader in spiritual and moral development and discipline.
The main roles of the mother are traditionally childbearing, care giving and homemaking.
It relates to handed down traditions or beliefs, values and attributes concerning the family.
The attributes are, roles of the family members, decision making relating for use of resources and the transmission of values regarding to how the families relate to each other, how discipline is administered and how problems are solved.
Leadership role is assigned to the male parent.
Relationships between different family members concerning the following:
Teamwork, honesty, respect, compassion, education , hard work, putting family first, safety and protection , worship and leisure.
The legal concept
The family is an institution that consists of a man and a woman who are legally joined together in marriage. Other groups within this family may include children, other relatives and household helpers. All members of the family benefit from rights and responsibilities that are governed by law.
These marriages are legally recorded through signing of a marriage contract.
The marriage contract is obtained through civil marriage ceremony performed by a religious person, a Justice of the Peace or any other person who is legally appointed by the society to carry out such a function.
A marriage contract may also be obtained through a business arrangement or the granting of a license.
Social system
A social system is made up of a series of inter-relationships among individuals, institutions, groups and structures that work together for the common good and continuity of society.
Social systems include the education systems the health care system and the justice systems.
