Behaviorism
A psychologist who studies how unconscious motives and conflicts determine human behavior. (Analyze your dreams). You behave a certain way because of your unconscious mind.
Psychoanalytic/ Psychodynamic
A psychologist who studies how we process, store, retrieve, and use information and how cognitive processes influence our behavior. -Mental processes.
Cognitive
Looking at self-actualization (the attainment of your goals) and how to reach full potential of self. Look at your goals to solve your problems. Get the person to attain success.
Humanistic
Looking at the biological state of the body and how it influences behavior (brain, genetics, etc.)
Biological/ Neuroscience
Looking at the culture and social group that one is in, and how it influences a person’s behavior.
