At a minimum, what are the 4 things that you check on a city vehicle you are driving?

Tires
Gas, water, oil
Safety equipment: extinguisher, first aid, flares, chains
Collision report kit

Can you take city vehicle home?

Answer 4

Yes, if you are subject to Emergency response callback. You can be outside the city if you are in the ETJ. Only the Fire Chief can grant this and it must be vital to the mission of the AFD

If you are required for unscheduled callback, can you take a vehicle home?

Answer 5

Yes, but it must be within the city and either the AC or the fire chief can grant it
