Scenario: “Your Aircraft just experienced a decompression. It is now safe for F/As to get up and use the MRT on PSUs that did not deploy. Please demonstrate how you would use the MRT.”

Answer 1

Action:

1. Retrieve MRT from under jumpseat.
2. Insert the pointed (pin) end of the MRT into the hole of the mask compartment of the PSU and push to open.

Instructor will state:
• Please demonstrate how to use the MRT if the pointed end does not work.

Flight Attendant will demonstrate the following:
• Attempt to pry the compartment open with the flat end of the MRT.
