- Request another F/A to notify the Flight Deck and contact MedLink
Activate POB (take the mask out of the pocket and plastic packaging prior to turning the POB on):
• Single Outlet POB: Turn the ON/OFF regulator knob counterclockwise until “4” is clearly displayed in the viewing window. - Check for flow by ensuring the green flow indicator on the reservoir bag inflates.
- Verify oxygen is odorless and colorless.
- Wipe the Guest’s nose and mouth with a non-alcohol wipe or tissue (verbally state and physically demonstrate).
- Place mask over Guest’s nose and mouth and tighten straps as necessary.

Instructor will ask:
• How often should you check on Guest condition and PSI of POB?
Flight Attendant response:
• Every 10 minutes
Instructor will ask:
• What PSI must we ensure the POB does not fall below?
Flight Attendant Response:

Instructor will ask:
• Guest is feeling better and no longer needs the POB, what will you do?
Flight Attendant will demonstrate the following:
• Remove the mask from the Guest
• Remove the bottle from below the seat and don it.
• Turn POB off
• Disconnect the used oxygen mask, place it in an airsick bag, and discard it in the galley trash cart prior to
returning the POB to its original stowage.

Instructor will state:
• If the Guest is using a POB and needs the use of an AED, what do you do with the POB?
