Inference
Used by pschologists to study mental processes
Mental processes are private but when people make inferences, we get an idea of what they’re thinking.
Schema
Are internal mental representations of our world. They can be described as a cognitive framework that help organise and interpret information through our internal computers.
Theoretical Models
The theory that when we process information it goes through stages which flow in order. These are sensory input, storage, then retrieval, which is know as internal processes.
Falsifiablity
Where a hypothesis has has the potential to be shown to be false by an experiment or observation.
Schemas
Packages information developed through experiences/ mental framework
Disequilibrium
The child has existing schemas but none of them fit with what they are trying to see.
Equilibrium
The child now has new schemas and is able to apply them to what they see.
