Core criteria PDD diagnosis
A
- Diagnosed PD
- Dementia of insidious onset and slow progression in the presence of PD, defined by:
(a) Impairment of more than one domain of cognition
(b) Impairment represents a decline from premorbid functioning
(c) Impairment in day-to-day functioning not ascribable to motor or autonomic dysfunction

Associated features for diagnosis
A
Cognition (at least 2 domains)
- Impaired attention (may fluctuate)
- Impaired EF
- Preserved language
- Impaired memory, usually w better recognition than recall
Behaviour (at least 1 present)
- Apathy
- Changes in mood/personality
- Delusions (commonly paranoid)
- (visual) hallucinations
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
If behavioural symptoms are absent/ the profile is atypical; diagnosis of PDD is ‘possible’ instead of probable
