what is the digital divide
the differences through who already has access to computers and the internet and those who don’t. this has created divisions for those in the past 30yrs
what is the difference in social classes and what case study can support this argument
different social classes have different experiences of new media because of affordability and access to new media because they are the digital underclass who cant keep up with the middles class
80% of the richest house holds in England have it compared to the 11% of the poorest households
who said that the digital underclass is characterised by unemployment, lower edu levels and low digital skills

according to the world economic forum the digital divide between developed nations and developing nations is worsening
e.g. world bank found out that 3 quarters of world population had a mobile phone meaning there is 6 billion mobile phones world wide
this means that it had created issues such as north korea and china restricting the internet
