A character speaking innermost thoughts alone onstage is using the dramatic device of ___,
Soliloquy.
An actor who makes a condidential comment to the audience which the other characters do not hear is using the dramatic device of
an aside.
Dramatic devices - monologues, soliloquies, and asides - are used to reveal
a character’s thoughts and feelings.
