Q

Is the crust the most dense or least dense? What is it made up out of?

A

The crust is the least dense layer of the Earth. It includes soil and rock. The crust is a thin shell compared to the rest of the Earth. It is made up of mostly light rock material. The continents and ocean floor are made up of rock from the crust.

Q

What are the 3 major layers of the Earth?

Q

Does the Mantel have the most, least, or in the middle mass? What is it made of?

A

The mantle has the most mass.
The outer part of the mantle is solid, heavy rock material.
The inner part of the mantle is so hot that the rock is partly molten or melted. This is called magma.

Q

Is the core the least, most, or in the middle dense? And what is it made of?

A

The core is the densest layer. It is made up of heavy metals, which are so tightly compacted together that the core is a solid ball.
The inner core is solid because of all the pressure pushing down on it from above. The outer core is liquid metal because of the hot mantle sitting above it.
