What are faeces?
A
The semi-solid material left after water absorption made up by bacterial action

What do faeces contain?
A
Water, undigested food material (cellulose), bacteria, bile stains and the remains of cells that have broken away from the internal lining of the alimentary canal.

How are faeces removed?
A
These faeces pass through the rectum and anus to the exterior of the body.

What is defecation or elimination?
A
It is the removal of metabolic waste – waste that has been produced by chemical activity of the body cells.
Except for the bile stains, the contents of faeces are not metabolic waste
