what are seizures
are uncontrolled electrical disturbances in the brain causes action protentional to fire one after another causing symptoms like loss of consciousness, shaking, stiff muscles

- falls

- knowing their triggers so you can avoid them or help the patient
- head trauma sometimes patients with seizures can feel like its about to happen so advise them to get to a safe spot to avoid incidents
- falls ensuring safety of the patient like pillow under patients head
- car accidents encourage patient not to drive
- emotional adn mental health issues advise patient to talk to someone like a therapist or support worker
what is depression
mental health disorder that affects mood, behavior, thoughts caused by imbalance of brain chemicals like dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine cause ppl to be in a low mood, feel sad or not worthy

- loss of interest in things they once liked
- changes in sleep like sleeping too much or too less
- trouble thinking and concentrating
- anxiety and restlessness
what are some complications that can arise with depression?
- social isolation
- suicidal thoughts
- substance misuse
- weight loss or weight gain
what are some nursing interventions for depression
- get help like therapy or counselling
- administer anti-depressant medications
- encourage patient to voice their concerns rather than shying away
