How do Rationalists view truth/knowledge and who are they?

Truth/knowledge attained though pure reason. Maths= model of science.
Descartes, Leibniz, Kant

How do Empiricists view truth/knowledge and who are they?

knowledge attained through senses. Inductive science= model of science.
Locke, Berkeley, Hume

What was Locke all about and what are simple ideas?

Locke wrote a critique of rationalist views of innate ideas and reason-> knowledge.
Basic unites of knowledge= simple ideas then mind creates complex from them.

Two kinds simple ideas:
1. Primary
2. Caused by sources

What is atomism? What issue does it create regarding complex knowledge?
