Preparation
A
1cm^3 alcohol 1cm^3 pure carboxylic acid. 3-4 drops conc. H2SO4.
heat in water bath 80˚C for 5 minutes.
pour into NACO3 to neutralise excess acid
should smell sweet after a while.
DO IN FUME CUPBOARD volatile liquids and could be toxic. Gloves and Goggles. not heated with bunsen burner, hot plate better
