c/c: sp xu, lack of DH. always caution if taking internally
side effects: can lead to hypokalemia (low Potassium) in high doses, vomiting, HA, dizzy, nausea, diarrhea, GI bleeding
Liu Huang (sulfur)
sour, hot, toxic

internal: kd yang xu
*2. tonifies fire at gate of vitality strengthens yang fire reduces cold for KD yang xu and Cold constipation/diarrhea
c/i: pregnancy, yin xu w heat
do not use long term. do not use for heat diisorders
toxic orally in doses of 10-20g. side effects: dizzy, HA, n/v, abd pain, diarrhea, LBP, bloody stools, shock coma

external only: swollen toxic sores, scabies, tinea; gargle for tooth pain
3-9g decoct. gargle=never swallow.
c/c: qi and xue xu without external xie
sores that have already burst, patients with impaired renal fx
antag: gan jiang, dan shen, shao yao, mu li
volatile oils can lead to kd failure. oils denatured during decoction
