Q

How do you solve proportions using the formula?

A
  1. Find the missing proportion
  2. Label the missing proportion x
  3. now Add the x to the end of any number that is diagonaly across from it
  4. Multiply the remaining numbers together
  5. Divide the multiplied number by the number with the x

The formula is percent/100 = part/whole

Diagonal means to go in a direction like this: \ and / (and vice versa). It’s not quite left or right, it can be pointing up, or down at the same time.

Q

What is the sixth step?

A
