What kind of oral hhygiene practices should bbe carried out for a child 6 months old till about 17 months?

Brushing by parents with a soft toothbrush without toothpaste.

How should toothbrushing be carried out by a child aged 18mnths to 5 years?

Clean twice a day with toothpaste containning 0.4-0.55mg/g of fluoride. Pea size amount to a small toothbrush. Child should spit, not swallow and not rinse.

Brush twice a day using stanndard fluoride toothpaste containing 1mg/g fluoride. Spit out, not swallow, not rinsed.

Not to bbe used for childdren under 6 yearrs old.
For people at an elevated risk for dental caries. Use at a time of the day toothpaste is not used. Not a substitute for toothbrushig.

What are thhe guidelines for the use of fluoride varnish (Duraphat)?

Contains about 22.6mg/g of Fluoride.
For people who are at an elevated risk of developing caries.
Tooth must be dry.

MAy be used for people aged 10 or more who are at an elevated risk of developping caries.
