graphical modelling Flashcards
1
Q
Working drawings used in graphical modelling
A
isometric views, exploded views, perspective drawings (one point), two point drawings, three point drawings and orthographic projections
2
Q
isometric views
A
- an isometric drawing depicts the proposed solution in 3D showing shape and form
- They are drawn on a 30/90/30 degree axis
3
Q
exploded views
A
- we do an exploded view to demonstrate how different parts fit together or are assembled
- It is also accompanied by a material list in a design folio
4
Q
Perspective drawing - one point
A
- horizon and single vanishing point
- Parallel lines alone one of the axis would all converge towards the vanishing point
5
Q
two point drawing
A
- horizon and two vanishing points
- Parallel lines along two axes would converge towards the vanishing points
6
Q
3 point drawing
A
- horizon and 3 vanishing points
- Parallel lines along 3 axes would converge towards the vanishing points
7
Q
Orthographic projection
A
orthographic projection represents a 3D object by 2D drawings in which the object is viewed along parallel lines that are perpendicular to the plane of the drawing
8
Q
A part
A
contains details about a part of a product not the whole product
9
Q
Sectional view
A
shows the internal details of the part
