Explain how you ensure your personal safety on site?
I wear PPE and make sure I take appropriate training and orientation. I undertake a risk assessment before going on-site. I will identify the muster point and the first aid station in the event of an emergency.
Explain how you ensure the security of your personal possessions on site?
I would store them in a safe place or keep them locked away in my vehicle.
Tell me about how you ensure good health & safety practices whilst on site.
Report any unsafe conditions.
Wear all necessary safety gear.
Keep your workplace clear of clutter.
Stay hydrated.
Practice good posture when sitting or lifting.
Take regular breaks.

Tell me about when you have used PPE on an inspection.
I regularly do site inspections and I would wear, vest, boots, hard hat, goggles and gloves.
What would you do if you suspected asbestos existed on a site inspection?
I would stop any work in the area immediately and evacuate anyone working there. Then, confirm what it is or assume it is asbestos and carry out a risk assessment to determine if licensed contractors are needed.
Tell me about any specific precautions you would take when inspecting a dilapidated property.
I would undertake a risk assessment and ensure there is a pre-task plan in place. I would notify someone that I am conducting an inspection.
What hazardous materials have you come across in your work?
I come across fumes – such as welding, hot rubber, soldering, galvanizing fumes.

I reviewed onsite nursing proposals and ensured they addressed safety risks, including exposure to infectious diseases, chemical hazards, physical hazards, and psychosocial stressors. These risks can lead to injuries, illnesses, and long-term health problems.
