  • failure to pass meconium >48h
  • chronic constipation
  • abdo pain & distension
  • acute bowel obstruction

A
  • Rectal biopsy
    • used to confirm diagnosis - absence of ganglionic cells
  • AXR: if bowel obstruction
    • distended bowel loops

medical emergency –> can lead to toxic megacolon
