A

He introduced the Old Age Pensions Act and the National Insurance Act.
Made very inspiring speeches during WW2.
Encouraged boats to rescue British soldiers on the beaches at Dunkirk, most were rescued.
He convinced the USA to lend money, and negotiated with the Soviet Union.

Evidence that Winston Churchill was not a good leader.

A

In 1915, he planned a risky attack on Turkey; it was a disaster, ending in 160,000 British casualties.
His decisions in 1924 as Chancellor of the Exchequer caused a fall in the value of the pound and more unemployment.
He could be bribed- He represented two oil companies for £5,000.
He was imperialist and supported the British Empire- said the same things about Ghandi as Hitler.
He didn’t support women’s suffrage.

How did what the Nazis believed cause the Holocaust?

A

Nazis believed in racial purity and that some races were inherently better than others.
They introduced antisemitic laws such as Jews weren’t allowed to drive cars, marry non-Jews and weren’t citizens.

What was the Stab in the Back Myth?

A

After Germany’s humiliating loss in WW1, the Stab in the Back Myth was created that said that Germany was betrayed communists and Jews, creating lots of antisemitism, anti-communism and nationalism.

What was Social Darwinism and how did it lead to the Holocaust?

A

After Charles Darwin published his findings about natural selection, some people mistook this and said that it applied to different humans as well, saying that White Europeans were at the top of the hierarchy. This dehumanised Jewish people which later may have lead to more Nazis being willing to murder Jewish people.
