Q

Direct entry into a hold?

A
  1. Within 40* of hold axis - cross the beacon and turn into the hold
  2. >40* coming from inside of hold - roll @ 90* to the hold axis, Fly straight 15s then turn
  3. >40* coming from outside of the hold - cross beacon - straight for 15s. then turn into the hold.

Q

60* to - bearing is in excess of expected. What does it mean?

A

You are wide - undershoot

Roll W/L - when 10* to go - start turn again

If only small errror - pass 60* to go, W/L on 30* to go - smaller intercept
