How does your intake work with answering portals and social workers?

A

For Sunrise, we efficiently manage multiple portals, alternating intake responsibilities. Our average response time is 1-2 minutes, and we currently rank third in accepting referrals. We receive real-time email notifications and quickly process accepted referrals through insurance portals.

How do you run the insurance and check the information in the portal?

A

We follow a predefined checklist. If the insurance is Medicare, it’s automatically accepted. We verify the patient’s address against our covered locations. For history and physical, we check for red flags before acceptance.

Do you run it through an insurance verification as well?

A

Yes. For Sunrise, we verify United Healthcare and Medicare. We check if it’s traditional Medicare. For United Healthcare, we use the United Portal and accept those under Assisted Banner and Optum.
