What is an organisation chart?
Chart of the organisation structure, showing the relationships of the positions
What are the 3 types of organisation charts (in order from highest to lowest PM authority)?

- Matrix

What is the RAM?
Responsibility Assignment Matrix,
Describes the various roles in completing tasks/deliverables,
Used to illustrate connections between activities and team members.
What is the Role Description?
A list used for general tasks, functions, and responsibilities of a position,
Often includes reporting line to be observed by the individual.
Describe a Functional Organisation Chart.
- Aligns people by specialisation
- Employees have one clear superior.
- PMs found in different levels & departments
- PMs have low level of authority
Describe a Matrix Organisation Chart.
- Vertical lines of authority
- Horizontal structure for project manager
- PMs interact with functional managers to acquire resources
- PMs have medium level of authority
