Introduce Self
Verify identity
Describe Procedure
Wash hands
Place or examined all needed materials, including alcohol swabs, bandaids, needle, gloves
Applied gloves
Choose the correct injection site using anatomic landmarks (vastus lateralis, ventrogluteal, deltoid)
Insert smoothly
Perform withdrawal
Inject smoothly
Withdraw needle safety and activate safety feature
Place bandaid
Place in sharps container
