Gather needed materials - gloves, tourniquet, bandaids, needle/hub, alcohol wipe, bandaid
wash hands
apply gloves
place tourniquet
palpate vein
attach hub to needle
cleanse with swab
insert with bevel up at 15-30 degrees
attach vial
remove needle and apply pressure with gauze
place a bandaid
place needle in sharps
