International Armed conflict under art 2 - between 2 or more signatories, applies to a signatory in which an opposing nation is not a signatory (but accepts and applies the provisions of Geneva convention)
Non international armed conflicts - govt vs rebel forces , other conflicts such as violence to life and person , mutilation , torture, taking of hostages , executions without judgements
