What is attachment ?

A

A strong, enduring, emotional and reciprocal bond between two people. ( Especially an infant and caregiver). Each individual sees the other as essential for their own development and emotional security.

What is Reciprocity?

A

(One after another) caregiver-infant interaction is a two-way mutual process; each party responds to the other’s signals to sustain interaction. They take part in turn-taking. For example, Being like a dance each partner is responding to each other’s moves.

A
