Atrovent Action
Decreases the action of the PNS by blocking acetylcholine at bronchial smooth muscle receptor sites, causing bronchodilation and reduced respiratory secretions
Atrovent Indications
Bronchospasms associated with asthma and COPD
Atrovent Contraindications
hypersensitivity; do not administer if patient has already received atropine
Atrovent Onset/Durration
Onset: Immediate
Duration: 2 hrs

0.5 mg nebulized
Atrovent Pedi dose
0.25 mg nebulized
Atrovent Precautions
use caution in children younger than 12 years old and patients with narrow-angle glaucoma
