A

Lac I makes repressor so no repressor meaning no transcription

Q

What is ONPG used for when doing the B-Galactidase assay?

A

ONPG acts as the substrate for B-Galactidase (usually this would be lactose but we used IPTG instead which is not a substrate) ONPG results in yellow coloring for assay when added to induced lac operon
