Single Subject Methology
Single subject methodology is a fundamentally different way to consider research
it is distinct from both qualitative and quantitative designs
the service user is his/her/ze own control
this allows the social worker to actively integrate direct practice with research practice
single case designs allow for the examination of the effects of intervention on an individual and to directly examine the outcomes
this approach is research that engages the person in the entire process of change
What is the difference between surveys and questionaires
Surveys are a distinct methodology that falls into the quantitative-descriptive category
Questionnaires are data collection instruments that can be used in a variety of methodologies
