Shutter speed is the length of time the camera’s shutter is open

Pics that are out of focus in background (ex: background blurred) and in focus in foreground controlled by aperture opening
What does ASA and ISO stand for?
ASA = American Standards Association (1960 - 1987) ISO = International Organization for Standardization

Derived from heating a “blackbody radiator” (i.e. a piece of black metal) until it glows.
