Mixture full rich

Takeoff procedure
Taxi onto the runway
Establish crosswind correction
Select reference for centerline
Start takeoff roll on centerline with nose wheel straight ahead
Slowly apply full power
Glance at engine indicators to ensure they are in the green
When controls become effective, establish the aircraft into a climb attitude
Pitch for Vy
C172 recommended airspeed to begin a descent in the pattern
80-85 knots
Recommended airspeed on base
1.4 x Vso
C172 recommended speed: 75 kts
Recommended airspeed on final
1.3 x Vso
C172: 65 kts
Go around actions
Smoothly apply full throttle
Ensure proper attitude
Configuration: retract flaps 10 degrees at a time
Stall recovery
Lower the nose
Apply full power
Level the wings
Once airspeed is regained:
Initiate a climb
Wait until reaching Vy before retracting flaps
Climb to desired altitude
Return to straight and level flight
Spin recovery
TARE:
Throttle: reduce to idle
Ailerons: neutralise
Rudder: full opposite rudder
Elevator: elevator forward
Conditions required for a spin
The aircraft must first be stalled
Must be in uncoordinated flight
Situations that might lead to an accidental spin:
A skidding turn from base to final
An uncoordinated power on stall
